How do I get there?

Public transport

If you want to avoid the CBD peak hour build up, public transport is an excellent option. Trams stop right outside the training venue on St Kilda Road every 5-10 minutes in peak times.

Take the train into either Melbourne Central or Flinders St and walk to Swanston St. Take any tram from Swanston St heading toward St Kilda Rd (except 1 and 8) to stop 22 (which is where Toorak Rd meets St Kilda Rd) and walk the 100m towards Albert Park to St Kilda Rd Towers, the tall office building on the corner.

Driving

The best way to get to St Kilda Rd Towers car parking (under the building) is to travel along St Kilda Rd, turn into Bowen Crescent, veer into the second left, Queens Rd, and enter into the underground carpark. Look for the large blue car parking signs.

What MYOB software version is used?

Our MYOB course is designed for MYOB Accounting Plus version 18. This specific package of MYOB is designed for use with Windows.

A separate MYOB software package is require for Mac compatability, this is called MYOB Edge. Our MYOB courses are tailored for the Windows version. Whilst the concepts are the same between the Windows and Mac versions, not all MYOB Edge topics are covered within our MYOB Accounting Plus course.

Course participants will recieve a  free student edition of MYOB Accounting Plus version 18 during the course.

How do I book a course?

Simply look for the orange 'Book This Course Online' feature on the top right hand side of each course page or call our offices to pay via credit card over the phone.

How and when do I pay for my course?

Short courses, full payment required

Courses can be booked and fully paid for on the website as soon as you decide which course you would like to apply for.

Is there a dress code?

Yes, students and trainers are encouraged to wear neat, semi-business wear. The following are not acceptable:

  • Jeans or tracksuit pants
  • Unpressed/torn clothing
  • Runners or tennis shoes

Do I need to bring anything on the day?

All pens, paper, laptop, program manuals and CDs are supplied. It is suggested you bring your own 1GB USB, extra paper/folders (if required) and lunch. A kitchenette is available for your use as well as a full cafeteria (Monday through Friday only).

What study resources do I need at home?

Whilst Freedom Training arrange your laptop use during your face-to-face training sessions (where required), a home computer and internet access will be very beneficial. Please also register an email address you access daily with Freedom Training as this allows quick and easy communication.

What happens if I have to cancel my course?

Certificate courses

  • Freedom Training and their RTO partners offer course cancellation based on extenuating circumstances.
  • A $500.00 fee is incurred.
  • Minimum two weeks notice is required in writing.
  • Freedom Training will offer a partial refund based on circumstances and the amount of notice Freedom Training receive.
  • Refunds occur 7 – 14 days into your nominated bank account.
  • You will be notified in writing when this transaction occurs.
  • Please note, deposit is not refundable.

Short courses

No refunds are available when you cancel your attendance at a course. Freedom Training recommends you reschedule your attendance ($100 administration fee applies).

What happens if I have to defer my course?

Certificate courses

  • Freedom Training and their RTO partners offer course deferral based on extenuating circumstances.
  • Minimum two weeks notice, where possible, is required in writing.
  • Freedom Training will propose one new course commencement date.
  • If the proposed course commencement date is unsuitable Freedom Training will offer a partial refund based on circumstances and the amount of notice Freedom Training receive.
  • Refunds occur 7 – 14 days into your nominated bank account if course has been paid in full.
  • You will be notified in writing when this transaction occurs.
  • Please note, deposit is not refundable.

Short courses

No refunds are available once a course is booked and paid for. Freedom Training reccommends you reschedule/defer your attendance ($100 administration fee applies). 48 hours notice must be given when you want to reschedule/defer your course.

Do Freedom Training cancel or defer courses?

Freedom Training reserve the right to cancel and reschedule courses at any time.

What happens if Freedom Training cancel or defer my course?

Our courses are tentatively scheduled and run based on interest. Payment is taken immediately to secure your position in the course. In the unlikely event of the course being rescheduled, Freedom Training will offer course participants another course date. 

How do I submit my assignments?

There are various ways to submit assignments including:

What happens if I can't submit my assignments on time?

Late assignments will not be accepted and can result in failure of your course. Participants are encouraged to discuss their assignment deadlines with their trainer privately.

What happens if I need more face-to-face time with the trainer?

We're more than happy to arrange additional time with your trainer who can coach you through your assessments and answer your questions outside of the set class time for $110.00/hr.

When do I get my results and feedback?

Results and feedback are generally returned to students within 14 days of course completion. Certificates will be issued when all assignments have been received, marked and recorded.

Can my prior learning/experience be recognised (RPL) and the course cost discounted?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is provided through partnering arrangements with the registered training organisations, Quality Training Solutions NTIS ID 31622, Mediquest and Unity College.

Is Freedom Training a registered training organisation (RTO)?

Freedom Training is partnered with registered training organisations (RTO) for all certificate courses which means that, through our RTOs, our courses are nationally recognised qualifications.
