A comprehensive look at MYOB

(this course is designed for those who have not had exposure to MYOB but have a good undertanding of bookkeeping concepts. If you have not had exposure to bookkeeping concepts we recommend you enrol into BASIC BOOKKEEPING USING MYOB)

MYOB Introduction is a great start if you are totally unfamiliar with MYOB software. No prior knowledge/experience required, MYOB Intro will greatly benefit those who require practical MYOB skills without an overload of bookkeeping theory.  Hit the ground running! You'll be equipped to complete bookkeeping functions using MYOB straight after completing the course.

During classroom sessions, you will work through bookkeeping case studies actually using our laptop, MYOB software and textbooks, watch short trainer demonstrations and maximise your learning through 'hands on' MYOB activities similar to what you would expect in your business or profession.

MYOB SET UP - Set up MYOB Accounts

• Navigate within MYOB Accounting
• Create a new data file for your business
• Set up the Accounts list (Chart of Accounts)
• Set up Card File Records
• Create Items
• Setup Opening Balances for Items, Sales and Purchases
• Perform an Initial Bank Reconciliation
• Work with General Journals
• Back up and restoring

Day 2

MYOB ESSENTIALS - Work with MYOB Accounts

• Complete a Bank Reconciliation
• Process Service and Item Sales
• Record Customer Payments
• Create Adjustment Notes for Sales Returns
• Record Service and Item Purchases
• Record Supplier Payments
• Find and View Transaction Entries
• Record General Journal Entry
• Spend Money and Make Deposits
• Prepare Bank Deposits
• Record Bank Fees, Merchant Fees and Interest
• Work with Reports
• Complete Business Activity Statement BAS

• Basic computer skills
• Moderate written and verbal English skills
